We would like for WIN-911 to have the ability to send SMS notifications via the Internet without purchasing an SMS modem.

Twilio offers such a service over HTTPS. I used it with Ignition before Win911 came along. Replies were possible but I didn't care about that, just needed simple notifications and it worked perfectly
Yes that would be great as long as you can acknowledge the alarm. My clients love the text, but the phone companies are getting strict on email to text.
The need for having install a Cellular Modem in the Manufacturing Architecture is becoming more problematic as Cyber Security is tightening up. Similarly to other modern SMS methods, it would be very beneficial to use a platform like Twilio for SMS notification capability and its other offerings.T he is were the future of notification is heading to. Notifications that can be received via SMS, Whatsapp, Webhooks (Microsoft Teams) etc
I agree, but having a SMS with a Modem is creating redundancy in case your Internet goes down. Most of WIN-911 notifiers are Internet based and the 2 of them that are not are SMS and Analog Voice (IPPBX - GrandStream).
